# Shared

> Shared workspaces to work together with someone from outside.

A shared workspace is a place to work together with people outside your business or household: a customer, a supplier, your housemates or your travel companions. **Shared** lists all your workspaces.

A workspace is a world of its own in the black strip on the left, with its own menu: **Overview**, **Tasks**, **Docs** and **Chat**.

## The overview

* **Phases** at the top, for example *Quote*, *Measuring*, *Installation*. You see right away how far along the project is.
* **Steps** of the current phase, in two columns:
  * **What everyone sees:** what you do together.
  * **Only …** (with the name of your side): what only your side sees, such as your own preparation.
* **Kinds of step:** a regular step, an approval, a payment, a document or a link. For an approval the other side chooses **Approve** or **Ask for a change**.
* When a step is done, **the next one opens by itself**.

## The conversation

The conversation is on the right. Choose **Everyone** to talk with the other side, or **Only …** to talk only with your own side. The other side never sees those messages.

## View as …

With **View as …** you see the workspace the way the other side sees it. Steps you are still preparing show there as *Coming soon*.

## Free and Plus

Taking part in a workspace you were invited to is free. With **Personal Plus** you create shared workspaces yourself.
